Hello Dr. Forslund,
Thank you so very much for your follow up and for the most beautiful experience once could ask for when saying goodbye to a dear, dear friend. I was so relieved to watch Maverick pass so peacefully. Just days after the experience, I went onto my Facebook page and wrote about your services. Seems many folks don’t know they’re available.
What you don’t know is that my two teenage boys grew up with Maverick. For 14 years he was their trusted pal and he LOVED them so much. They would literally fight over who got to sleep with him every night, lol! Last Halloween they even gave him a costume, complete with Groucho Marx eyebrows which he had up until the day he passed (see photo). They made him his own Instagram page that had 50,000 followers!
Maverick was also my running pal for years. He and I would run miles each week together in his younger days, which is why he looked so young for so many years. In the end, it was difficult for me to take him for walks because he couldn’t go too far which made me cognizant of the fact that he was on the downhill side of his golden days.
We miss him dearly but are thankful we found you to make his passing so peaceful. He fell asleep in the corner of the family room on his favorite bed, where he would lie in the sun for hours every day. At 12:40 every Thursday there are wind chimes that I ring, marking the time of his passing and his golden spirit being set free. He will always be with us, silly big guy!
Maverick’s ashes were delivered on Wednesday, in a beautiful box complete with his paw print and a beautiful certificate. I couldn’t have asked for this to be handled in any more of a professional and empathetic way.
YOU ARE THE BEST. Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s a blessed service and you are an angel!
Thank you again!
