Miko passed away on Tuesday, June 11. She was 12 or 13 years old. We rescued her from Agua Dulce 10 years ago. She was malnourished, covered with ticks and had demodectic mange. With love, quality grub and plenty of exercise she flourished and blossomed into a beautiful and healthy dog. Her passing was facilitated by a wonderful and compassionate vet named Annie Forslund, DVM. Annie came to the house so we could all be together. We got to sit with Miko and say our goodbyes. Annie made her very comfortable and we are grateful to her.
There are so many awesome dogs that need homes and I encourage everyone to please be part of the solution the next time you consider a pet. Please RESCUE and save a life. It's not only good for the animal...it's good for the soul.
To Miko...thanks for all the good times!
The comfort you provided was priceless. Continue your stellar work and heartfelt thanks from the Nealon family.
Love and gratitude,
