Annie was, as all dogs are, irreplaceable. Her beloved Frisbee was her raison d'etre; she lived to run, jump, and snag. She slowed down at about 12 and we resorted to her carrying it around the park. Her physical agility waned, but her spirit continued. When I knew that it was her time to go, I couldn't envision taking her into a clinical setting.
My veterinarian recommended Home Pet Euthanasia. Dr. Forslund was available that Sunday. Her visit made a world of difference. Annie was relaxed and I knew that Dr. Forslund's visit was the best choice. Her gentleness reassured both Annie and me.
Since the actual procedure, Dr. Forslund has "checked in" to monitor my grieving process; her shoulder has been invaluable during what I consider to be the most trying time of my life.
