Leroy loved you from the moment you walked into our home, and that was an important sign for me. He was just shy of his 8th birthday. We got him when he was only 7 weeks old, he was our first dog and our baby. When we got the devastating news that his cancer had metastasized and he only had 2-3 months to live, our world came crashing down. "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" truly lived up to his name! He fought so hard for us for 5 1/2 months after his diagnosis. We knew the time had come when he was no longer interested in barking at the mailman, his favorite time of day. It was the hardest decision I've ever had to make. I knew he fought hard for us, when really he could have given up. My last gift to him was eternal peace in the comfort of his home surrounded by his best friends and family. Thanks to you, we were able to give that to him.
We can't thank you enough for being so kind, compassionate and patient with us on that terribly sad night. You were very patient with us during this difficult time. It’s great that you took care of everything including the cremation and aftercare. Even a phone call days later letting us know you were thinking of us was a great thing to receive.
