Hershey came to me at 6 weeks of age. I went into NatCat looking for a black cat and I found mine! Hershey was the only kitten that woke up. He climbed up my neck and purred and I was hooked. Hershey was a great cat and my other cats loved him (at least they acted like they did).
In March of 2012 we celebrated Hershey’s 14th birthday. During the last few months of his life he began walking flat footed on his front paws. After seeing the vets and running tests we were unable to find out why.
Hershey told me his pain was too much and I knew what I had to do. The hardest part about having pets in your life is knowing when to stop trying to find out "why" and trying to fix what is wrong and just listen to your beloved pet tell you it's time to go...rest in peace my beautiful Hershey. It has just been three weeks and there is still something missing in my home.
I can not thank Dr. Forslund enough for her care and compassion for my beloved Hershey and her concern for me. Having Dr. Forslund come to our home made the whole process so much easier on Hershey. When the time comes again...and it always does...because life without pets is not in my future...I will call Dr. Forslund again without hesitation. What she provides is comfort in a very difficult time.
Thank you again for everything!!
