In the words of Brady:
“Well, my life began in an angry home,
and I learned to be an angry dog
But by the grace of god, my anger got me
in a home of people who showered me in song
(my vet always said my people loved the anger right out of me,
and I guess I could say that too)
They showered me with kindness,
I learned my true calling
be a good dog, take care of my people,
my bark is how I sing.
That’s how I spent my life;
When my dad got sick, I stood right by his side,
and stayed with him till came the end of his time.
Then my mom, she got real sick too,
and I knew my job was to take care of her, and stay just as stay true,
and this I did, a long long time, till I bid my final adieu.
In my fond farewell, all I felt was the years of love I learned, and knew
And I hope you know how much I love you too.
And I miss my mom, I am with my dad
And we watch over her day by day.
That’s my tale I have to tell,
To learn love is the only way.”
Again, thank you for this opportunity to pay homage to Brady’s time with my parents.
