Rex, like all of our previous dogs, brought our family tremendous joy and excitement. Known as our "Sweetie Boy", Rex would shower our family with love and affection, and of course endless kisses. And, he never missed an opportunity to be on your lap or next to you on the couch or bed.
At the age of 10, and still in good health, Rex was diagnosed with diabetes. Within a short time thereafter Rex lost his sight, and then his hearing. We knew he struggled, however as a family we were determined to make his life without sight and sound as comfortable as possible - even continuing taking him on his daily ride in the car to the park that he so loved. Without sight and sound he still enjoyed his walk and amazingly smelling his path out.
After 9 month with diabetes Rex suffered neurological issues that did not allow him to walk or stand up on his own. He tried in vain to muster the energy to make his legs take even one step on there own, but unfortunately, he could not guide himself without help from us. We sensed Rex no longer wanted to endure his blindness, deafness, and now is inability to stand or walk on his own. We knew the best compassion we could show him at this time was to let him move on to doggie heaven is a peaceful way.
We knew that he knew the end was near, and that we wanted to go. At the end before he departed this earth Rex mustered up the energy to give each and everyone of our family one last kiss. It was his way of saying his final goodbye to us.
To Rex and all of the previous dogs we have had in our lives, thank you for being there for us and sharing your unconditional love for us. We love you all and you will always and forever be in our memories. And one day, we will join you up there where we will all take rides in the car and long runs together. It will be a while, but I promise, I won't forget you when we do meet up again in the afterlife.
Enjoy your new world Rex, and when you have time between all of your fun in doggie heaven, please send out that special vibe to us. Don't worry; we'll know its you.
Love from all of us, including your best friend Buck who misses you dearly.
I reviewed the information on your website and I could tell from reading it, it came more from your heart and that you were not just trying to market your services. I also enjoyed your video clips you provided. As I may have indicated when you were here, the thought of my pets last moments on this earth laid upon a cold metal table in a vets office sends chills up my spine. From our first dog to Rex, all have had their last moments on this earth in the place they love and feel comfortable. I wouldn't have it any other way. The whole experience was good but what made it most favorable was the hug as you came into the house and the hug when your left. Those are the little things that stick in my mind. We both knew it was just not a business for you, but you really do care about the feelings of the pet owners and want to make the whole experience as painless as possible. You didn't rush the process, you spent time talking to us, and you didn't rush out. That was good. we always spread the work to our friends that have pets that they should have it done in the peaceful surroundings that their pet knows and loves so well - the home. I feel you did a good job and will not hesitate to recommend you to other.
