Dear Dr. Forslund,
Thank you for coming to our home to assist us in the peaceful passing of our beloved Cisco. Being with him in his own home and bed and familiar surroundings helped ease this painful process. Your love and compassion were evident. Here is some info on Cisco's life with us.
With sincere thanks,

"A Tail of Our Dog Named Cisco”
Cisco was born in the millennium year 2000 to a line of prize winning Standard Poodle show dogs. When I went to see the puppies they only had him for sale. All the others in the litter were show dog quality. He was also, except for his curly tail or “happy tail” as the breeder called it. He could not be a show dog. Lucky Cisco! Saved by his crooked tail!! I was thrilled to take him home as he sat on my foot and looked up at me! He spent his life in our family with grown and married children and their spouses and seven grandchildren who adored him. He ran and played, chased squirrels, loved all the many friends that frequented our house for parties, vacations, etc. He was very social and greeted all our friends with love and enthusiasm, always extending his paw. He would stop them at the door when they were leaving, barking softly to say, "Please don't go yet.” He was so smart that we found we had to spell in front of him when we didn't want him to know what we were saying. On many weekends he drove with us to our beach house where he loved to run on the beach chasing the seagulls. He was the most athletic dog I have ever seen, running like a race horse and leaping like a gazelle.
When it came time to let him go because his body had given out on him, we called Dr. Annie. She came to the house and assisted in her sweet gentle way. Even though he could no longer get up, stand or walk, he extended his paw to her, as if he was asking for her help. He passed peacefully in his own little bed with my husband and me holding him, petting him and telling him how much we loved him. Such a peaceful passing for a very special boy! Have fun in Doggie Heaven, precious Cisco.
