Hi Annie,
I am so happy to see your email, and that you are still helping our sick babies pass on so peacefully. With the traumatic and painful euthanasia experience my sweet Sissy went through at the veterinarian office only three months before, I knew I had to find a more humane and peaceful way for Ricky to leave this world. It is always a painful experience to lose a loyal, loving companion, but holding him close in my arms, as he trustingly let go, will forever remain etched in my mind. I feel peaceful when remembering Ricky's final moments, as opposed to sadness and regret about the trauma and pain Sissy went through. I pray you continue to care for our loved ones as lovingly as you do, as the pet and the parent are both patients in the final hours of our beloved pet’s life. Your love, confidence and experience with both is what makes the real difference.
Thank you so much for being you!
Ricky & Sissy: They were very close, and always together. Ricky was a good big brother, and was very protective over Sissy. He was a comedian, and truly smiled at me when I held him. (See top picture.)
Sissy was a real sweetheart, and was very good with my grandchildren. They could dress her up, and she would just sit there patiently and let them.
All of these dogs grew up together, belonging to me or my daughters and their families. You may recognize Dolly( Cocker on right), Sadie (Cocker on left) and Ricky (Schnauzer in middle), as you were the angel who helped them peacefully leave this world. Sissy's beautiful life (Schnauzer at top) came to a brutal end at the veterinarian hospital. The last dog, Sonny (Schnauzer at left), was my middle daughter’s dog, and he was put down at his veterinarian office. They were all around the same age, and sadly, all are now gone. What a wonderful period of time, full of beautiful memories with my children, grandchildren, dogs, and granddogs! I am truly blessed!
Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to make peace with the loss of all of these little souls. They are all dearly missed by all of us!
Please don't hesitate giving my name and number to anyone concerned about how to handle the last stage of their pets life. It would be my pleasure to share my experience.
Best regards,
Mary Vachon
