It's never easy losing a fur baby. I have had and lost many over the years. Eddie was extra special in that he was 3-legged and very skittish and, even though he came into our home as a kitten, he never came out for anyone but me. I will always remember the times Eddie would come up and lay on my chest for hugs and kisses, but only if it was his idea! If I tried to get up with him in my arms, he was off like a shot! It was very very difficult and stressful for us both for me to catch him and get him into the vet, or move my house (which I had to do 3 times during his life). Eddie had lost most of his right hind leg as a small kitten, which may be partly to blame for why he would never quite get over being partly wild even though he was handled from a young age. In his later years, the leg and pelvic pain was just too much for he or I to bear. I have since also suddenly lost my sweet dog, Abby, during an ER visit...so this year has been very tough, but I am happy that they are both now happy and pain free. I will desperately love and miss them both always. I will always be greateful to Dr. Annie and Dr. Julie and staff.
