Our sweet Roxy was losing the battle with cancer. The surgeon said that there was nothing more that could be done. Roxy was not yet in pain, but would be very soon. We contacted Dr. Forslund for help. The euthanasia service provided for our little girl was very calm and measured, no rushing at all. And Roxy was so relaxed the entire time. When Roxy passed, it was the most peaceful experience ever. Although it was so very difficult to lose our family member, we were comforted by the fact that we saved Roxy from experiencing a protracted period of failing health and assured pain. I read on Dr. Forlund’s website that pet owners may feel like they are “Playing God” in making this decision for their pet. But, in the wild, a weak or sick animal would be killed quickly by other animals. This is true and it confirmed our decision that we were making the kind decision to not allow Roxy to suffer unnecessarily. Our Roxy had always been a spunky, fearless, sweet, energetic little girl and was starting to suffer. She is now at peace and passed in the most calm way surrounded by those who love her and always will love her.
