My sister rescued Lola from a parking lot after witnessing her being hit by a car. Turns out, it was Lola’s luckiest day. My sister scooped her up, brought her home, and nursed her injuries. When Lola was well, my sister asked me to do brunch so she could introduce me to her new “friend”. Immediately upon arrival at the cafe, Lola jumped up in my lap, and it was love at first snuggle!
Lover of bacon, and warm piles of blankets, Lola was a sassy chick. She loved to lure unsuspecting strangers into a hug, just to get close enough to lick the insides of their nostrils. She hated skateboarders and the UPS Man, most likely for their lack of decent fashion sense. She loved hosting her furry friends for play dates and sleepovers, because she knew that meant Mom would break out the “good treats”.
Lola has been through 5 homes, 6 career moves, 1 divorce, countless post-gig late night walks with Chuck, and over 5,000 miles of RV travel with me. It’s difficult to imagine our life without her. I am going to miss my crazy sidekick, fierce protector, closest confidant...my sweet baby girl.
Many thanks,
Michelle Dahlin
