Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for Dr. Julie and Home Pet Euthanasia of SoCal. Dr. Julie honored that relationship, encouraged me to talk to and about Mike and share my memories with her.  In the end, she made sure he was comfortable and able to peacefully transition in the comfort of the home he knew. I will be forever grateful for the gentle and loving care she showed us both.

Mike was my constant companion for 15 years.  He was with me when I purchased my first home, helped me through the death of my father and made it clear more than once, that a new boyfriend wasn’t up to his standards (and he was always right).  He could drive me crazy with his stubbornness, was pouty when he didn’t get his way but more than anything, he made me laugh and feel unconditionally loved.

I'd like to give a big 'Thank you!' to Home Pet Euthanasia. Dr. Jenny was so kind and helpful and comforting - I am not sure I could have done it without her energy and support. She was calm and sweet and had all the comfort a mother would bring. If angels work here on earth, she's one of them. I am not sure I could have done it without the people at HPE. Their hearts are as big as our pets', and that's saying something!

Scrappy was the "Marley and Me" of dogs - but from a medical standpoint. It wouldn't be right if I concluded without saying thank you to Scrappy. Thank you, for comforting me through dark times. Thank you for your snuggles and knowing eyes. Thank you for warming up my side of the bed. Thank you for teaching my daughter to be kind to animals. Thank you for your endless patience and forgiveness. Thank you for your love. You changed my life and I'll think of you, love you, and be grateful for you, forever.

Dr. Meg came to our house on Thursday, March 22. She sat on the floor at Buddy’s spot with our entire family. She explained the procedure with a calmness I appreciated. She also gave us advice on how to help Buddy’s Labrador sister, Bella, deal with the loss as well. She was concerned for all of us.

Buddy spent the first five years of his life neglected and unwanted, until he found his family, who wanted and loved him so deeply. He was our boy. Ours. Ours. We would have done anything to prolong his life, because the pain of a life without Buddy is unbearable. However, we had to think of Buddy first. As much we hurt now, we know it is because we loved deeply. Home Pet Euthanasia helped us give Buddy one final gift. We were able to trade his suffering for ours, and Buddy was so worth it.

We love you, Buddy Wade. You will forever be our boy.

Eulogy for Jasmine:

Jasmine came into our lives in the fall of 2008.  We first met her at the Orange County Animal Shelter and almost immediately we fell in love with her.  Since we brought her home she was the sweetest most loving girl giving us kisses and love constantly.  She loved going for walks and visiting the local dog park. She would love to snuggle up to one of us and lay accross our legs to the point of immobility due to her size. 

We as a family miss her deeply, but know that she is happy and free of any pain or suffering.  She now runs, jumps and just being a happy dog. Jasmine was a rescue, but really she rescued us. We love you Jasmine

We were glad to find Dr. Annie’s home service.  It was of course a very sad day,  but being at home made it a more peaceful experience and Dr Annie was wonderful.  

Our Spencer was the sweetest little kitty and our little clown. Spencer was very sweet and affectionate with us, but he was fearful of others and hated going to the vet. I miss my little snuggle buddy and am grateful for the 14 years we had with him.

Thank you for your gentle hand in transitioning Champ to heaven with us!!!

We miss our Champ very much! We didn't think we would say goodbye so soon to him. We still miss Champ and tears are welling up writing this but there is still room in our hearts and we have saved another beautiful animal and we are now his people!

Dear Dr. Annie, your guidance and Dr. Meg’s compassion and patience greatly eased the heartbreaking  experience of saying goodbye to our much loved cat, Pablo, in the home we shared with him for nine special years.

Two homeless men found Pablo in the middle of a Santa Ana street when he was a kitten. These men took him to the home of a friend of ours, and several days later Pablo “adopted” us. He never tired of being with us.  Pablo loved being carried on Rod’s shoulder and probably would have happily stayed there even if Rod decided to walk to the moon.  When Howard was reading, Pablo loved to stretch out on his lap with his paws often covering his eyes like a sleep mask.  The one time a mouse appeared in our house, Pablo darted in the opposite direction, and he loved gazing out the window at the birds without ever displaying a threatening gesture. Pablo was something of a pacifist. 

We deeply miss our wonderful Pablo, but we will always be grateful for the gift of nine unforgettable years with him.

Dr. Annie was full of love, respect and loving countenance. My vet suggested Dr. Annie and we were so grateful. Words cannot give her justice. She is a very compassionate conscious wise woman and we are grateful.
 
Cocoa was a very unique guy. Chocolate merle in colour, long coat standard in size chihuahua. What a beauty he was. Cocoa thank you for coming back into our lives so quickly after departing for we know you have reincarnated into our big red cat Murray.
