When Cole was younger, we'd find him, like Houdini, in the most unusual places--like on top of the ottoman! He loved his canine friend Spicy, our greyhound. We used to joke that we had two "hounds"--a greyhound and a food hound. He was a kind and gentle spirit.

It was easier to let go of Cole knowing he was in familiar surroundings and in the comfort of my lap instead of a sterile, stressful vet’s office. Cole was a phenomenal, loyal, loving friend and he deserved a peaceful, loving goodbye. Thank you. Everything was as good as it could be.

He is our friend, companion, and confidant. Unlike a person, he is never too busy for us. He is never angry, bitter, or resentful. He doesn’t hold grudges. He never yells or speaks harshly. So when he got sick, we cared for him. When he got sicker, we cared for him even more. And when he got too sick, we held him as he took his last breath. The incredible Dr. Meg aided his transition from this life. She treated him and us with the utmost compassion.

Rocky, it was our privilege to know your gentle soul. You taught us persistence, compassion, patience, understanding, loyalty, and the joy of a good nap. Goodbye, friend. We loved you to the end and then some.

Dear Dr. Forslund,

Thank you for coming to our home to assist us in the peaceful passing of our beloved Cisco. Being with him in his own home and bed and familiar surroundings helped ease this painful process. Your love and compassion were evident.

Cisco was born in the millennium year 2000 to a line of prize winning Standard Poodle show dogs. He spent his life in our family: he ran and played, chased squirrels, loved all the many friends that frequented our house for parties, vacations, etc. He was very social and greeted all our friends with love and enthusiasm, always extending his paw. Have fun in Doggie Heaven, precious Cisco.

Thank you so much for coming in the very early morning hours on June 17th to help my Annie girl leave this world and join her sister Suzy. You were, again, so compassionate and caring as I said goodbye to my loving and joyful Annie.  I had over 15 wonderful years with her and miss her terribly. Thank you forever.

Sam loved to go on road trips, but mostly sleeping next to us was his favorite thing. He was a silent king—except when the doorbell rang! We continue to honor Sam for all the great years as a member of our family.

It was comforting to have Sammy pass at home—it is so much more comforting to have closure at home for all the humans and pets. Thank you for your interest in making him a place on your Dog Angel Roster!

The day Buddy was brought home to me, I just about fainted at the thought of having a third Golden Retriever.  No sooner then a few hours in, I fell in love with him.  He grew into a beautiful and strong, life loving dog.   A true GOLDEN heart indeed. He brought joy and helped us through tough times with his comical ways.  
This was the second time Dr. Forslund came to help one of our pets cross over to Rainbow Bridge, and we wouldn't have it any other way.  She not only helped us with the process, but our other senior dogs as well...

Rex brought our family tremendous joy and excitement. Known as our "Sweetie Boy", Rex would shower our family with love and affection, and of course endless kisses. The thought of my pet’s last moments on this earth laid upon a cold metal table in a vets office sends chills up my spine.  I reviewed the information on Dr. Forslund’s website and I could tell from reading it, it came more from the heart The hug you gave me as you came into the house and when your left felt like it was just not a business for you, but you really do care.  To Rex and all of the previous dogs we have had in our lives, thank you for being there for us and sharing your unconditional love for us.  Enjoy your new world Rex, and when you have time between all of your fun in doggie heaven, please send out that special vibe to us. Don't worry; we'll know its you.

 My Dearest Family & Friends,
It is so hard to lose a buddy that has been in your life 24/7--365 days a year--year after year.  My absolute rock, my comforter, my constant companion, truly one of the LOVES of my life.
One thing I will be forever grateful is how Boomie's journey on this earth ended.  No cold, stainless steel table, no sterile environment.  Please don't get me wrong.  I appreciate my vet.  I just am glad we could have this choice to have him peacefully fall asleep at home.  Not just for Booms but for our family too.  He laid down, head up by Ryan, then Brian, Sammy and me…Dr. Forslund was on the other side of the couch.  We all started petting him and quieting our voices--we each were telling him how much we loved him, how amazing he was--his tail wagging.  Dr. Forslund was tending to what she needed to do, speaking quietly.  …one last caress, he fell asleep peacefully for the last time to our voices telling him what a good boy he was and how much we loved him, on his couch, smelling his people, feeling the hands on his body that he knew so well and surrounded by insurmountable LOVE……
